Welcome to Benchill Medical Practice

Benchill_External

The practice is a Group Practice based in an excellent modern health facility (with disabled access) offering a broad range of services. There are currently 6 doctors working within the practice, four partners and two employed doctors. Four of the doctors are female and two are male.

In addition to the doctors, the practice also employs two practice nurses and a healthcare assistant as well recently becoming a GP training practice It is our belief that a great deal of the workload within the practice can be shared with the nurses. The nurses run a variety of clinics and these are constantly reviewed for their effectiveness. We positively encourage our patients to engage with the practice nurses for advice on Diabetes, Asthma/COPD, Heart Disease, Blood Pressure, Contraception, Vaccinations and Cervical Smears. Our nurses are considered to be experts and have a keen interest in keeping our patients well.

We welcome you and sincerely hope that you will join the list of Benchill Medical Practice patients.

Thank You
We would like to thank all of our patients who have supported us over the last 12 months during our very unexpected changes in staff. We realise that there have been a number of you who have had to get used to seeing a different Dr to the ones you had been used to seeing and in addition to this, you may also have experienced some difficulty in getting to see a GP at certain times although we tried our very best to maintain the services that we normally provide. Thaks again for all your support and patience during this difficult time HeartAndScope

Changes in Staff
On the 6th of June we will be welcoming Dr Norris. Dr Norris will be working as a full time GP and we hope that many of our patients will make him their regular GP of choice.
Some of you may have noticed that Dr Selby has become a full time GP since the 1st April this year making her appointments much more widely available.
Most of you will know by now that our long serving GP - Dr Hill retired on the 31st March this year. Dr Selby has become his replacement.
